CV Performance Group continues in the WSK-Title race

Third race of the season of the WSK Super Masters Series in La Conca

The WSK Super Masters Series traveled the past weekend to the southernmost station in the race calendar. The third round of the international Top-Race series took place in La Conca and the CV Performance Group continues in the race for the title in the OK-class.

After a victory in the kick-off in Adria and second place in Lonato, spearhead Lorenzo Travisanutto continues in overall leading position in the OK-class into the second half of the season of the WSK Super Masters Series. The race on the 1.250 meter long track in La Conca did not go as planned in the beginning  for the reigning world champion – qualifying 17th he had to fight his way up throughout the heats.

Ranked sixth and fourth his plan worked out in two rounds, though an additional 18th place brought him only one position up in the temporary rankings. In the Pre-final, he delivered a great performance to catch up, coming in third he continues in the race for the title.

Ultimately, he defended his sixth starting position throughout the 20 laps long final and collected important team points. Before the big final in two weeks, the Italian driver counts as one of the big favorites for the title.

In the juniors, the German driver Arthur Tohum raced once again for the Kart Republic team. The Youngster showed his so far strongest weekend and fought his way into the Pre-finals up to rank 23. Unfortunately that was not enough for the finals, though there is a clear positive trend.

For us it was the first race weekend under the new name and with our new team manager Jochen Schädler. Concluding, I am satisfied throughout. Lorenzo had fought his way up through the time training and the heats. Going into the final placed second, is a great baseline for us. Also Arthur presented himself greatly, for him it was the first race on this challenging track. Now we are looking forward to the final in Sarno

Team leader Christian Voß said in a great mood.
