CV Performance Group leads in WSK before the final
Lorenzo Travisanutto becomes second in Lonato
After a small race break the CV Performance Group continued this past weekend in Lonato. The South Garda Circuit welcomed a record field of 316 participants to the third run of the WSK Euro Series. Top favorite Loranzo Travisanutto again belongs to the top and goes into the finale in leading position.
Midsummery temperatures and tough track conditions were waiting on the South Garda Circuit in Italy. With 316 drivers, the places in the WSK Euro Series were occupied top-class. The Who-is-Who of karting was present, among them also the CV Performance Group with two drivers.
The Italian driver Lorenzo Travisanutto again wanted to make the jump onto the podium after the past five victories in a row. Ranked third in qualifying, he got off to a great start and a little later a victory in the first heat followed. After a fifth and sixth rank in further races, Lorenzo was placed fifth in the temporary rankings and confirmed this placement also in the pre-final. In the finale the Kart Republic pilot went into attack mode and saw the checkered flag in second position. With that he collected important points for the championship and is still leading.
Next to the routinier, also Chris Rosenkranz snuffled international race air and collected numerous new experiences on the 1.200 meter long track. Unfortunately he missed the final being placed 23rd in the pre-final.
Head of the team Christian Voß was very satisfied in the end and is looking forward to the final:
“Already next weekend it will be decided if we are going to end this year as champions. That is our clear goal and we are working towards it. The race will be very unique because it will take place during night with floodlight. That is probably going to bring a great atmosphere.”
The fourth event of the WSK Euro Series will take place on the Adria Raceway, for the first time as a Night Edition.
