CV Performance Group wins WSK Euro Series
Title in international Top Kart race series
With the reigning kart world champion Lorenzo Travisanutto the CV Performance Group had a top-class occupation this year and harvested the fruits of the hard work during these past months. At the final of the WSK Euro Series in Adria the team did not risk too much anymore and took home the title in the OK class.
Already since the first race in Angerville, France, Lorenzo Travisanutto was leading the championship in the OK class and counted as favorite for the overall win before the final. This time special conditions were waiting for the participants. The race was hosted during night with floodlight. For Christian Voß, the head of the team, this was a successful alternation in the calendar:
This has a special charm and lets the feeling of a 24 hour race come up. We try to not make any mistake and obviously want to win the title.
Lorenzo Travisanutto, in leading position, did not leave any doubt about that. He delivered three strong presentations under the floodlight of the Adria Raceway and was ranked seventh for the pre-final in which he, again, drove to the front of the field and continued to earn important championship points being placed third.
The decision was made in the final over 20 laps. From the beginning on the kart republic pilot asserted himself in the upper field and kept out of all skirmishes. He saw the checkered flag in fourth position and celebrated the win of the championship shield.
This is a good feeling, a big thank you to the entire team for the great work throughout the course of the four races,
says the new champion in an interview.
Also for Christian Voß the victory was a moving moment:
For us, it is the first year where we are on international terrain in the OK class and to immediately win such a renowned championship is a big success. This gives us up wind again because important races are still waiting in which we have to convince. A big thank you goes out to our partners who accompanied us until now.
The team will continue this upcoming weekend with the ADAC Kart Masters in Oschersleben. Already this past weekend some drivers of the team were there in the frame of the ADAC Kart Cup and celebrated a triple success in the X30 seniors class.
