DKM-Victory for CV Performance Group in Lonato
Lorenzo Travisanutto is second in championship
The German kart championship took place on the South Garda Circuit in Lonato this past weekend. With Lorenzo Travisanutto and Kobe Pauwels, the CV Performance group sent two top drivers into the race and finally celebrated a victory. The team was also successful with a quadruple triumph at the ADAC Kart Cup in Ampfing.
Almost 190 drivers from all around the world started in the Italian Lonato in the new season of the German kart championship. The highest German kart series registers another participation record and promised exciting races at the kick-off. Exciting races were also deliviered by the CV Performance Group drivers Loranzo Travisanutto and Kobe Pauwels. Especially the weather played a role in that. On Sunday a constant change between rain and sun made the choice of tires to a game of chance.
For the third time the race track is noted in the calendar of the DKM to take place in Italy and offered a great setting once again. In front of this setting, the reigning world champion Travisanutto delivered top out-put. In qualifying placed on rank four, he fought his way through the heats onto the leading position and additionally to that he drove the fastest lap. It was no surprise that he won the first final. In the second heat he was again leading but has to admit defeat and was placed second.
His Belgian team colleague Kobe Pauwels also coped well with the Kart Republic Chassis. He made it to position three and six, keeping his original starting position. In the race he also counted as one of the top drivers and collected championship points right away at the kick-offs.
Simultaneously to the race in Italy, the team also started with five drivers at the ADAC Kart Cup in Ampfing. Sunday night, Linus Jansen won at the X30 Seniors and finished ahead of his team colleagues Claudia Henning, Louis Kulke and Chris Rosenkranz. Ferdinand Winter followed in twelfth position.
I am very satisfied with our race weekend. The victory in Lonato is very important for us and makes us to one of the favorites in the fight over the title. Also in Ampfing the drivers have fought very well and brought a quadruple victory,
Christian Voß summarized happily.
After the kart sport, the CV Performance Group also hosted their drivers in other categories. Luzi Trefz celebrated a great success at the GT4 European Series in Monza. On Sunday, he placed his Mercedes-AMG fifth in the overall rankings and won in the Pro-Am class. A great success for the sports car rookie.
We want to offer our drivers a perspective after krting. Luci was runner-up in the ADAC Kart Masters last year, now he started in the GT4
The kart team continues directly from Italy and Ampfing to France. There, the first round of the FIA Karting European championship will take place next weekend.
