Lorenzo Travisautto wins Winter Cup in Lonato
The 24th series of the Winter Cup on the South Garda Circuit in Lonato was at the same time one of the biggest races of the year. Over 300 drivers from more than 43 nations participated, under that also the German HTP Kart Team. After the win at the kick-off of the Super Masters Series, Lorenzo Travisanutto took home the trophy in the OK-Class.
For Christian Voß and his team the clocks do not stop ticking. Last weekend, the team from Altendiez attended its fourth race in a row. This time it took place on the 1.200 meter long South Garda Circuit in Italy. With best weather and spring like temperatures, top drivers from all around the world dueled for the prestigious victory. With Lorenzo Travisanutto and Arthur Tohum, the HTP Kart Team sends two drivers into the race.
After the kick-off of the WSK Super Masters Series the Kart Republic Team showed that they can be expected at the race this year. World champion Lorenzo Travisanutto won at the Adria Raceway and started out strong. The Italian driver drove the best time in qualifying. He kept up with the top drivers in the heats but fell back in the third heat and dropped to eight place in the ranking. In the Super Heat and the following final everything was going as planned and he won the prestigious race.
Lorenzo did a great job. He stayed calm throughout the race and struck in the final
team leader Christian Voß praised his fosterling.
Additionally to the Italian driver Arthur Tohum also participated. The Newcomer continued his learning phase at the OK juniors. The field was strongly occupied with 88 participants. Already the upcoming weekend the team will return to Lonato. Then, the second race of the WSK Super Masters Series will take place. After the latest success Lorenzo wants to develop his overall lead with another win.
