HTP Kart Team wins WSK-Masters kick-off
Strong presentation from the world champion Lorenzo Travisanutto
186 drivers traveled last weekend to the WSK Super Masters Series kick-off on the Adria Raceway in Italy. The German HTP Kart Team sent two pilots into the race and had enough reason to celebrate Sunday night. Lorenzo Travisanutto won the OK final and leads the international championship now.
One week after the rehearsal at the WSK Champions Cup the HTP Kart Team took off to Italy again. The 1.302 meter long Adria Raceway welcomed participants from over 30 nations at the WSK Super Masters Series. Arthur Tohum and Lorenzo Travisanutto represented the colors of the HTP Kart Team.
Additionally to strong international competitors the weather made the race intense. Strong rain during the qualifying and the heat pushed human and vehicle to their limits. The team and the team leader Christian Voß mastered the difficult conditions brilliantly.
In the juniors class Rookie Arthur Tohum showed a pleasant improvement. The Youngster delivered a great presentation in the course of the weekend and accomplished the entry into the finals of the best 34 juniors. In the race over 16 laps he continued doing well and saw the checkered flag as second best driver from Germany.
I am very satisfied with the presentation of the Youngster this weekend. The conditions were not easy, he fought through it and kept improving. The entry into the final is the well deserved loan for his great performance
team leader Christian Voß complimented his driver.
From the beginning Lorenzo Travisanutto was included in the favorites of the OK class. The reigning world champion started from 12th position after the qualifying into the heats and fought his way up on place two, three and four – in the intermediate he was placed on a good sixth position. The Italian driver ended the pre final placed 4th before he snapped the victory in the important final.
Towards the middle of the race he fought his way up to the top and did not give up his position until the checkered flag was drawn. With his win Lorenzo took over the leading position in the overall ranking of the WSK Super Masters Series.
Lorenzo constantly improved from the qualifying to the heats all the way to the final and deservingly won the race. It is a great start into the new season. We will build up on this performance and will attack again in the next races
Voß said excited in the evening.
The next weekend the team from Altendiez will continue on. Then the IAME X30 Winter Cup in Valencia will begin. The WSK Super Masters Series will continue from February 21st to 24th on the South Garda Curcuit in Lonato.
